5 Days Murchison Falls Tour is yet another Safaris Uganda package that is fun-packed filled with adventurous exploits in Uganda’s wilderness. Your 5 days trip to Murchison falls national park in northwestern Uganda will engage you in a variety of activities ranging from rhino experience where you will spend time with the rare white rhinos, game drives where you will see different wildlife species such as lions, elephants, buffalos, hippos, Nile crocodiles, giraffes and activities such as a boat cruise along the Victoria Nile with a thrilling experience which takes you close to the thunderous Murchison falls.

You will also spend time with the chimpanzees in Budongo forest for an experience within the forest as well as catching sight of other primates such as black and white colobus monkeys, red tailed monkeys, blue monkeys and so much more that Uganda’s oldest national park has to offer. You can also hike to the top of the falls where you will be able to see the rest of the park from a heightened viewing point.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Murchison falls national park

Transfer to Murchison Falls: On Day one of the 5 Days Murchison Falls Tour, you will be met by your guide who will welcome you and brief you on the details of your trip to Murchison falls national park. After the briefing, you will be driven to Murchison falls national park.
Rhino Experience: You will have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary in Nakasongola for a white rhino experience. After the rhino experience, you will be driven to Kabalega Diner in Masindi where you will have lunch. After lunch you will proceed to drive to Murchison falls national park. On arrival at Murchison falls national park you will check-in at your lodge for dinner and overnight at Pakuba lodge.

Day 2; Game drive and evening boat cruise

Game Drive: Wake up for an early morning breakfast at your lodge as you prepare for a morning game drive. After breakfast, you will proceed with your packed lunches for a game drive in the park where you will see a variety of wildlife species such as lions, elephants, buffalos, hippos, Nile crocodiles, giraffes, warthogs, Uganda kobs, zebras, hartebeest as they graze, swim, hunt, groom each other and so many more wildlife ventures in the savanna of Murchison falls national park.
Boat Cruise: After the game drive, you will return to your lodge for relaxation as you rest and prepare for one of the highlights of your Murchison falls trip which is a boat cruise along the Victoria Nile. During the boat cruise you will see a variety of birds such as the kingfisher, herons, fish eagle and different wildlife species as they graze along the water shores and you will also see the hippos as they swim not far from your boat as you watch the beautiful sunset.
Hike to the top of the falls(optional): If you like, once you reach the bottom of the falls, you can opt to hike to the top of the falls where you will have an amazing experience as you see large chunks of water squeezing through the tiny 7-meter gorge creating a refreshing shower at the top highlighted by an amazing rainbow with different wildlife species in the surrounding. Otherwise, after all this, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Pakuba lodge.

Day 3; Chimpanzee tracking in Budongo forest

Chimpanzee Trekking: You will start your day with an early morning breakfast at your lodge. After breakfast, you will go with your packed lunches as you proceed to drive to Budongo forest. On arrival at Budongo forest, you will be briefed before heading into the forest for chimpanzee trekking. During chimpanzee trekking, you will see the chimpanzees and other primates as they swing in the tree branches, see a variety of bird species, see the different tree species. After chimpanzee tracking experience, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Pakuba lodge.

Day 4; Delta experience

Delta Experience: You will wake up for an early morning breakfast at your lodge on the 4th day of your 5 Days Murchison Falls Tour. After breakfast, you will drive to the shores of the Victoria Nile where you will begin your delta experience. You will take a boat ride to the southern parts of the Victoria Nile good for an excellent birding experience in the delta where you will see a variety of birds such as the rare shoebill and plenty of wildlife species. After the delta experience, you will drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Pakuba lodge.

Day 5; Departure and transfer to Kampala

Last Game Drive: You will wake up for an early morning breakfast at your lodge and check out after breakfast. After checking out of the lodge you will drive through Murchison falls national park to see the wildlife species you missed during your previous game drive as you head out of the park.
Return to Kampala: You will then proceed to drive to Kampala which will mark the end of your 5 days trip to Murchison falls national park.
