Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Kampala
- Arrival and transfer to Kampala: On day 0ne of the 6 Days Murchison Wildlife safari, You will be met and welcomed by your guide at your current location or upon arrival at the airport. You will also be briefed about your trip and then you will proceed to Kampala where you will have a drive around the city as you continue to your lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will visit the Uganda Museum to get to know more about the history of Uganda and to learn about the different cultures in the country. You will return to your hotel after your visit to the museum for dinner and overnight at Naguru skyz hotel.
Day 2: City tour
- City tour: Breakfast will be served at your hotel before you head out to explore Kampala city in the company of your guide. You will visit different locations around the city during your tour and these include the Gadhafi mosque, Nakasero market among others. You will also return to your hotel for lunch as you enjoy the Ugandan delicacies. You will spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing at your hotel and later in the evening, you will visit Ndere cultural center for more of the Ugandan culture as you watch cultural dance performances and listen to local folk stories. After your evening at Ndere cultural center, you will return to your hotel for dinner and overnight at Naguru skyz hotel.
Day 3: Transfer to Zziwa Rhino sanctuary
- Transfer to Zziwa Rhino sanctuary: After breakfast at your hotel, you will check out of your hotel and you will be driven out of the city. You will continue to Zziwa Rhino sanctuary where you will see the endangered rhino species which are among the big five animals that are sought after during trips. You will explore the sanctuary on foot in the company of rangers after you have been briefed about the rules and regulations of the sanctuary. After spending time with the rhinos, you will return to your lodge for lunch and to relax for the rest of the evening as you wait for dinner and overnight at
Day 4; drive to Murchison falls national park
- Drive to Murchison: You will have your breakfast at your lodge at Zziwa Rhino sanctuary and after breakfast, you will check out of the lodge. You will proceed to Murchison falls national park where you will check in at your lodge and be served with lunch.
- Evening game drive: You will have an evening game drive later in the day as you explore the open savannah plains of Murchison falls national park in search of the different wildlife species such as zebras, antelopes, buffalos, rhinos, lions, leopards, hippos, giraffes among others. You will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Para safari lodge.
Day 5: game drive and boat cruise
- game drive: Breakfast will be served at your lodge as you prepare for your morning game drive in search of the wildlife species which are very active during the morning and can easily be seen grazing in Murchison falls national park. The wildlife species include elephants, lions, oribis, giraffes, hartebeest, waterbucks, warthogs among others.
- boat cruise: You will return to your lodge for lunch after your morning game drive to relax and enjoy the rest of the afternoon. Later in the evening, you will have a boat cruise along the Victoria Nile as you enjoy the beautiful sunset and the thunderous Murchison falls in the distance. You will also see different wildlife species grazing near the water shores and in the water such as hippos, buffalos and Nile crocodiles. Many bird species can also be seen as you enjoy your boat ride. After the boat ride, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Para safari lodge.
Day 6: Departure
- Departure: You will have your breakfast served at your lodge and then you will check out of the lodge. after checking out of the lodge, you will have an enroute game drive as you continue your journey back to Entebbe where your guide will drop you off at your preferred location which will mark the end of your safari.
