Day 1: Kigali Rwanda arrival and city tour
Welcome to Kigali Rwanda and Kigali city tour: Upon arrival at Kigali international airport on day 1 of 6 Days Rwanda Primates Vacation, be sure to be picked by our company representative who will be eagerly waiting for your landing and transfer to your reserved hotel for check in and lunch depending on your arrival time. Later in the evening, you will enjoy a city tour taking you to different sites in the city including the genocide memorial sites, markets and many more return to your hotel later on for dinner and overnight sleep ready for the next day’s drive to Nyungwe forest national park.

Day 2: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National park
Drive to Nyungwe forest national park: On day 2 of 6 Days Rwanda Primates Vacation, enjoy your breakfast at your hotel in Kigali after which you will check out and be driven from Kigali to Nyungwe forest national park about 5-6 hours’ drive through the stunning country side of Rwanda that will reward you with a view of hills, coffee plantations, a stopover at the kings palace, museum and many more. You will enjoy an enroute lunch and upon arrival at the park, you will have dinner and overnight rest.

Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking in Nyungwe Forest national park
Chimpanzee trekking: After breakfast on day 3 of 6 days Rwanda vacation (Gorillas &Chimps) safari, pack your backpack and meet your driver for a transfer to the park headquarters for briefing about chimpanzees, the dos and don’ts during the trek and many more. After briefing, meet your rangers, porter and other members in your trekking group as you penetrate the forest in search of the allocated chimpanzee Troup via well designated walking trails. This trek lasts about 2-5 hours after which, you will exit the forest and head to the lodge for lunch before embarking on a 150M long canopy walk elevated at about 50 M above the ground that offers stunning views of the entire Nyungwe forest national park and all different wildlife that thrill with in this primate destination of Rwanda. This canopy walk was ranked as the best forest walk in the world. After the canopy walk, you will return to your lodge for a relaxed evening, dinner and overnight sleep.

Day 4: Nature Walk in Nyungwe Forest national park and transfer to Volcanoes national park
Nature walk: After breakfast on day 4 of 6 Days Rwanda Primates Vacation, head out once again into Nyungwe forest for a fascinating nature walk through well designated walking trails. Nyungwe forest thrills with plenty of walking trails including the short and long ones. You will hence forth choose the best walk depending on the time you need to walk and the attractions you need to encounter since each trail leads to different attractions like Water fall trail, river trail and many more. Since you have limited time in this park, you will choose a short walk after which you will exit the forest and return to the lodge and check out for a drive to Volcanoes national park with a brief stopover at Lake Kivu. Lunch will be enroute while dinner will be at the lodge.

Day 5: Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes national park
Gorilla trekking: An early breakfast is all you need on day 5 of 6 days Rwanda vacation (Gorillas &Chimps) safari then pack some snacks and drinking water and be transferred to the park headquarters for briefing. After briefing, you will enjoy a breath taking activity as you walk in the forest searching for the habituated mountain gorillas in their natural habitats. Trekking gorillas is the top thing to do in Volcanoes national park. The entire trek lasts about 2-7 hours after which you spend only 1 hour in the presence of Gorillas closely watching them, taking photographs and later on exit the forest to meet your safari driver and be returned to your lodge for a relaxed dinner and overnight sleep. You may as well enjoy a cultural tour to Ibyiwacu cultural village or even have a guided walk to twin lakes of Burela and Ruhondo.
