6 Days Rwanda Safaris Tour : This 6 Days Nyungwe national park and Volcanoes national park takes you to two of Rwanda’s most visited primates’ destinations that is Nyungwe forest national park which is a home to the endangered chimpanzees and 12 other species of primates. Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Arrival – Hotel Kigali
Upon arrival in Kigali airport, you will be met by your safari guide and transfer to your hotel in Kigali. Depending on your time of arrival, you will do a Kigali city tour and visit the Kigali genocide memorial and the Kimoronko market. Dinner and overnight stay at Kigali Marriot Hotel for luxury/Des Mille Collins Hotel for mid-range/Step Town Motel for budget
Day 2: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park – Community tour
On the 2nd day of your 6 Days Rwanda Safaris Tour, after breakfast, check-out of the hotel and transfer to embark on your drive to Musanze – the nearest town to Volcanoes National Park found in the northern province of Rwanda. It’s a 2-3 hours’ drive, check-in your lodge for lunch.
Later afternoon, you can do an optional community tour visiting Iby’ cuwa cultural village for a Rwanda cultural experience. Return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at 5 Volcanoes lodge for luxury/Le Bambou Gorilla lodge for mid-range/Hotel Muhabura for budget option
Day 3: Golden monkey trekking – transfer to Gisenyi
After early morning breakfast, drive back to the park headquarters for briefing about the endangered golden monkeys and be allocated a group. Connect to the tracking starting point and enter the forest to search for the rare golden monkey. This activity can take about 1-5 hours and is done at closer view of the other primates in the park like the red tailed monkeys, Vervet monkeys among other. After viewing the rare golden monkeys for an hour while taking pictures and studying their behaviours, return to the base.
Transfer to Gisenyi with en-route lunch, explore lake Kivu on a boat ride. Thereafter, drive to your booked lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at

Day 4: Transfer to Nyungwe forest national park – Afternoon canopy walk
On the 4th day of your 6 Days Rwanda Safaris Tour, after breakfast at your lodge check-out and embark on your journey to Nyungwe forest national park. It’s a 6-7 hours’ drive with en-route stops for sight-seeing and lunch.
Later afternoon, you will go on a walking trail that will take you to the Canopy Walk-a swing bridge 50 meters in length that is suspended from large trees. You will be able to see the amazing rainforest with a bird’s eye view, spotting wildlife moving about below you. Dinner and overnight stay at Nyungwe One and Only hotel for luxury/Nyungwe Top Hill Lodge for mid-range/Gisakura Visitors centre for budget option
Day 5: Waterfalls nature walk – Transfer back to Kigali
On the 5th day of your 6 Days Rwanda Safaris Tour , after having breakfast, connect to enter the forest on a forest walk to the waterfalls, you will encounter different birds and other primates, reaching the waterfalls is relaxing and refreshing with great views of the forested mountain, you will also spot the different primates found in Nyungwe on a lucky day.
Thereafter, embark on your journey back to Kigali city. It’s a 5-6 hours’ drive. Optional stop at the Nyanzi Kings’ palace, Kigali national Museum and genocide. Day 6: Kigali city tour & Departure back to Uganda
