The 6 Days Uganda Luxury Gorilla and Chimpanzee Trekking Safari is an exceptional Uganda safari tour package that takes you to primitive destinations where you will be able to encounter the great apes and gentle giants one of the largest land mammals‘’ endangered mountain gorillas and Chimpanzees’’. The trip takes you to two most visited destinations in Africa and the entire world; Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park home to the world’s half-remaining mountain gorillas that still exist in the wild. Kibale Forest National Park is home to the highest population of Chimpanzee individuals. The trip starts with a drive to Bwindi National Park and ends at Entebbe.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up at Entebbe and Transfer to Bwindi National Park
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport on the first day of your 6 days Uganda Luxury Gorilla and Chimpanzee Trekking Safari, you will be picked up by the hotel driver representative hotel, check into the hotel, and rest as you get ready for the next day’s traveling journey to Bwindi. Dinner and overnight stay at Protea Marriot Hotel
Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Wake up at the hotel, have breakfast, then our driver guide will pick you up at the hotel to transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park which lasts about 8 to 9 hours’ drive inclusive with a stopover at the equator. The driver guide will brief you about the safari. Then after, proceed a drive to Mbarara with a stopover for lunch en-route. Continue to drive straight to the park where you will enjoy rewarding views of rolling hills, terraced farmlands, beautiful landscapes many others. Upon arrival in the park, you will check into the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Safari – Luxury
Day 3: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park
After an early breakfast on the third day of the 6 days Uganda gorilla and chimpanzee trekking safari, you will carry a packed lunch from the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to drive you to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing. After the briefing, you will head for trekking in the wild which is approximately 30 minutes to 6 hours depending on where the gorillas are located. During trekking, you will enjoy gainful views of other primates, animals, plants, bird species many others. Once the gorillas are allocated you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their natural environment which gives you an opportunity to learn more about their behaviors, and habits, watch them carry out their daily activities, take photos, and capture videos to show people back home.
After the memorable moment with the mountain gorillas, you will trek back to the park headquarters where you will meet up with your driver-guide to drive you back to the lodge, for relaxation, dinner, and overnight as above.
Day 4: Drive to Kibale Forest National Park
On the fourth day of the 4 days Uganda gorilla and chimpanzee trekking safari, you will have breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Kibale National Park. On the way you will have an en-route lunch and enjoy an impressive view of the terraced farmlands, Kigezi hills, traditional homesteads, crater lakes, tea plantations many more. Upon arrival, you will check into the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at Chimpundu lodge-luxury
Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking and transfer to Kasese Airstrip
After an early breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to drive to Kanyachu Visitors Centre for a chimpanzee trekking briefing. After the briefing, you will head out for trekking in the forest which takes about 30 minutes to 4 hours depending on where the chimpanzees are located. Once the chimpanzees have been found, you will be able to spend one hour with them in their natural environment which gives you an opportunity to learn more about their lifestyle, and behaviors, watch them feed, play in trees, take photos and record videos for your future remembrance.
After the one-hour experience with the great apes and trek back to the park meeting Centre where you will meet up with your driver guide and drive you to Kasese Airstrip, departing at 15:45pm and arrives Entebbe at 17:15 pm and hotel driver representative, will pick you go check in, rest at the Hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at Protea Marriot Hotel.
Day 6: Departure to Entebbe Airport
Departure to Entebbe: On your last day of 6 days Uganda luxury Gorilla and Wildlife Safari. Wake up have breakfast, relax around. Then the hotel representative will drop you at Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight back home.
