Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Maasai Mara National Reserve

On day 1 of the 7 Days Kenya & Tanzania Safari, depending on the point of location, our professional Kenya safari driver-guide will pick you up in a private 4×4 Land Cruiser Jeep to start your week-long adventure.

You will drive south to the great Maasai Mara Park, via Kenya’s central highlands, local farms, and communities. You will have a stop along the way to enjoy gainful views of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Arrive at the reserve afternoon, check into the lodge, and have lunch. In the evening, you can opt to do a game drive in Mara plains or rest to prepare for the next day’s activity. Dinner and Overnight stay.

Day 2: Full Day at the Maasai Mara

On the 2nd day of the 7 Days Kenya & Tanzania Safari, wake up early have breakfast, then go for unlimited game drives with your packed lunch boxes. You will have a few questions discussed by your guide safari like; how much exploring and how much relaxation time you would like.

Your guide will explain to you more about the safaris as you enjoy it then will take you to the Mara River for a break to have a picnic lunch and watch hippos and crocodiles inhabiting this special border.

During the season of the Great Migration ‘’July –October’’, this is the crossing site where wildebeests and zebras by the thousands enter the park from the neighboring Serengeti.

Between July –October is an unforgettable spectacle as the multitudes of grazes flow into the Mara only to be met by the awaiting crocodiles, lions, leopards, cheetahs, and other predators. This is nature at its most raw and primal and a scene of unexpected drama.

On this day, you can opt to do an early morning hot air balloon safari over the park.  You will be able to see the sunrise and the great display of wildlife below as you sail over the Mara – images that will bring great memories forever.

Day 3: From Maasai Mara and transfer to Serengeti National Park ‘’6 Hours’ drive’’

On the 3rd day of the 7 Days Kenya & Tanzania Safari, wake up early have breakfast, and cross into Tanzania and Serengeti National Park. Then, you will head to the border town of Isebania and the crossing from Kenya into Tanzania with en–route lunch.

The Serengeti is part of the same ecosystem as the Maasai Mara and it is these lands that the masses of wildlife are born and raised before trekking over into the Mara in search of plenty of grasses and more sources of life sustaining water.

Day 5: From Serengeti and travel to Ngorongoro

On the 5th day of the 7 Days Kenya & Tanzania Safari, you will head out early for a full day traveling from one beautiful ecosystem to another, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

As you drive there, you will have a stop at Oldupai Gorge, the most noted anthropological site in the world. From here you will discover thousands of fossilized remnants of early man’s activity – a perfect record of tools and artifacts showing our evolution from millions of years ago.

Arrive at the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, the largest intact volcanic caldera on the planet. It is also a protected habitat for the world’s rich wildlife.

You will descend to the crater walls in a 4×4 Jeep entering a great site of big cats, rare black rhinos, elephants as well as various birdlife like pink flamingoes in the area’s marshlands.

Enjoy your lunch down here on the crater floor, with more game drives filling out our day.

In the evening, you’ll head up the volcano wall to enjoy a dazzling sunset at the crater’s rim. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park ‘’1-hour drive’’

On this 6 day of safari, you will arise early, have breakfast, and be treated to a beautiful sunrise at the crater’s rim. Then, you will drive out of Ngorongoro Crater and set off to Lake Manyara National Park.

In fact, Lake Manyara is not a large park but is renowned for its beauty and the Lake itself.  The blue of the lake contrasts with the thousands of feathery pink flamingoes dressing its shores. It offers iconic sights of wildlife species.

Lake Manyara is famous for its rare tree climbing lions, a fascinating evolutionary adaption.  Adventure them overhead while resting on waiting for the prey from their perch up in the trees.

Arrive at the park, have lunch, and go for an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Lake Manyara and drive back to Arusha – Nairobi /Zanzibar – 2 hours and 30 minutes drive

Lake Manyara is more attractive in the early morning light. After breakfast, go for another game drive to soak up the scenery, color, and perhaps some larger game to see including Impala, gazelle, hippo, giraffe, and Baboon among others.

After en route game drive in Lake Manyara, drive to Arusha to be either be dropped off at your Arusha hotel or at the Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport for flight departure. End of 7 Days Kenya and Tanzania Safaris.
