7 Days Western Uganda Safari

7 days western Uganda Safari is a safari to the different attractions in the western part of Uganda such as Lake Mburo national park and Queen Elizabeth national park as seen in the itinerary below;

Safari highlights of the 7 Days Western Uganda trip

Day 1: Arrival and drive to Kampala

Arrival and drive to Kampala: Depending on your location or upon arrival at the airport, you will be met by your guide who will welcome you and brief you about your safari. After the briefing, you will proceed to Kampala city where you will catch a glimpse of the busy city life as you continue to your hotel for check-in and to have your lunch. You will be driven to Ndere cultural center for an experience of the Ugandan culture as you watch the colorful dance performances and enjoy a relaxing evening and get a feel of the hospitality that the pearl of Africa has to offer. Your guide will drive you back to your hotel after your evening out and you will have your dinner and overnight at Naguru skyz hotel.

Day 2: City tour and drive to Lake Mburo national park

City tour: You will have your breakfast served early at your hotel and after having your breakfast, you will check out of the hotel. You will have a brief city tour where you will see different attractions around the city such as the Nakasero market, Gadaffi mosque among others.
Drive to Lake Mburo: You will also have lunch in Kampala and after lunch, you be driven to Lake Mburo national park where you will check-in at your lodge for dinner and overnight at Arcadia cottages.

Day 3: game drive and nature walk

game drive: Breakfast will be served early in the morning at your lodge in Lake Mburo national park and after having your breakfast; you will have your morning game drive where you will see a variety of wildlife species grazing around the national park such as elands, buffalos, warthogs, zebras, antelopes, topi among other wildlife species. Many bird species can also be seen during wildlife viewing experiences in this national park.
nature walk: You will return to your lodge for lunch and to spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing at your lodge. You will have a nature walk later in the evening and you will experience the beauty of the wilderness of Lake Mburo national park on foot as you watch the sunset. After the nature walk, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Arcadia cottages.

Day 4: horse riding and night game drive

horse riding: You will be served with breakfast at your lodge and after enjoying your breakfast; you will proceed for your horse riding activity during which you will explore Lake Mburo national park on horseback as you watch the beautiful sunrise over the beautiful wilderness around you.
Night game drive: You will return to your lodge for lunch and to relax after the morning activity of horse riding. Later in the night, you will experience the dark night as you explore Lake Mburo national park and see the different nocturnal wildlife species in this national park. You will be driven back to your lodge as the night before for dinner and overnight after you night game drive.

Day 5: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Drive to Queen Elizabeth: You will have breakfast at your lodge in Lake Mburo national park and check out of the lodge as you prepare for your drive to Queen Elizabeth national park. You will check-in at your lodge on arrival at the national park and enjoy your lunch and relax. You will have an evening game drive to explore the open savannah of Queen Elizabeth national park and its different attractions such as buffalos, antelopes, hippos, waterbucks, reedbucks among others as well as different bird species. After your evening game drive, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Pumba cottages.

Day 6; chimpanzee trekking and afternoon boat cruise

Chimpanzee trekking: You will have breakfast at your lodge and after breakfast you will proceed for your chimpanzee trekking activity as you search for the chimpanzees in Kalinzu forest. During your chimpanzee trekking activity, you will also see different primate species in the forest as well as many bird species.

Afternoon boat cruise: After your chimpanzee trekking, you will return to your lodge for lunch and to relax. Later in the evening, you will have a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel where lakes Albert and George meet. During your boat cruise, you will see a variety of wildlife species in the water such as hippos and Nile crocodiles as well as long the shores of the channel such as antelopes, buffalos, elephants among others. You will also see a variety of bird species during your boat ride and they include fish eagles, hammerkops, cormorants, kingfishers among others. As you watch the beautiful sunset and enjoy your boat ride, you will later return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Pumba cottages.

Day 7: Departure

Departure: After breakfast at your lodge, you will check out of your lodge as you continue to your journey back to Entebbe. You will have a stopover at the equator to enjoy photographic moments and to watch the different experiments at the equator such as the water experiment. You will also have lunch at the equator and also visit the craft shops to see local art and craft shops and to buy souvenirs. After lunch, you will be driven to Entebbe where your guide will drop you off at your preferred location which will mark the end of your safari.
