Detailed Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Kigali pick up and transfer to Gisenyi
Transfer to Gisenyi: On day 1 of 8 Days Uganda Congo Wildlife & Primates Safari from Kigali, you will be picked from your hotel in Kigali and set off for a brief Kigali city tour exploring genocide memorial site, Kimironko Market and all other attraction in the city. After city tour you will enjoy your lunch and transfer to Gisenyi where you will as well visit the genocide memorial sites and spend your evening at the shores of Lake Kivu enjoying the ambiance of the calm water.

Day 2: Transfer to Virunga national park and Hike Mount Nyiragongo (Ascend)
Hike Nyiragongo (Ascend): On day 2 of 8 days Uganda Gorilla, wildlife and Nyiragongo hiking safari from Kigali, you will be served with any early breakfast then pack enough drinking water, lunch box, snacks and wear your best hiking attire to be transferred to Virunga national park via Goma where you will obtain Congo Visa as well as Nyiragongo hiking permit and be driven to Kibati ranger post for a briefing after which you will start to hike Mount Nyiragongo at around 10:00am through forested area at the bottom as you ascend through a well designated trail till you get to the summit. You need to leave your lodge with all that you may require while at the summit since there are no shops on top of Mount Nyiragongo. You will stopover to enjoy your packed lunch while dinner will be at the summit. Spend an overnight watching the boiling Lava Lake and capturing those thrilling and memorial photographs.

Day 3: Descend Mount Nyiragongo and Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park

Bwindi impenetrable forest is known worldwide as a home to the largest population of endangered mountain gorillas that still thrill in the wild. The remaining population of Mount gorillas thrills in Virunga national park in Democratic Republic of Congo, Volcanoes national park Rwanda and Mgahinga gorilla national park in Uganda.

Day 4: Uganda Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park
Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park: On day 4 of 8 days Uganda Gorilla, wildlife and Nyiragongo hiking safari from Kigali, you will arise as early as possible, pack enough water for drinking as well as some snacks and a lunch box then be ready to attend briefing with other trekkers. The trek takes about 2-7 hours depending on the movement of gorillas and the trekking speed of trekkers considering the slowest person in the group. Expect to arrive to the park in time for lunch and after enjoying your lunch, you will be transferred to Kanyanchu for briefing about chimpanzee trekking. Upon completing briefing, penetrate the forest to search for the habituated chimpanzees in their natural habitats which takes you about 2-5 hours with only one hour of close contact with the chimpanzees taking photographs and watching thee gentle primates closely. After spending one hour, exit the forest and meet your safari driver to be returned to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

The driving distance takes about 5-6 hours and by afternoon, you will be in Kampala. Depending on your flight details, you will enjoy a brief Kampala city tour before proceeding for a drop off at Entebbe international airport to catch a flight back home.
