The Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
This is located within Nakasongola district towards Murchison Falls National Park. This is the only place you can see the southern white rhinos in the country. This place was established to re-introduce this species which had become completely distinct in the past years due to severe poaching. Here, you will have an opportunity to trek rhinos, do some bird watching and enjoy guided nature walks.
The Murchison Falls
These waterfalls are located within the Murchison Falls National Park. It is after them that the park was named. They are found along the course of River Nile and offer a powerful breathtaking view, thanks to Mother Nature. You will see the large volumes of the great Nile force their way through a narrow gorge of just 7 meters. Water forcefully makes its way and drops below over a 43-meter cliff making a thunderous drop, which results into scenic and relaxing water spray. It is very beautiful view.
Cultural Tours/Village Walks
Uganda is blessed with a diversity of tribal groups each with its own unique cultural practices, norms and language. During cultural tours, you have an opportunity to visit the different cultural settlements.
