More so, the park is home to a diversity of wildlife species with over 95 mammals and a paradise of bird species over 600 bird species. Animals to see in the park includes; elephants, kobs, waterbucks, leopards, hyenas, hippos, buffalos, tree-climbing lions, and a variety of antelopes thus making up a great home to big fours. Birds that call Queen Elizabeth national park their home include; the sitting cisticola, brown-backed scrub Robin, hooded vulture, white-backed vulture, brown-backed scrub Robin, long-created eagle, croaking cisticola, palm but culture, shoe bills, white-tailed lark, black belied bustard among others.
