While at stay at Tembo, you will have chances of seeing hippos at night through your widow as they come around at night and munch around the room and vocalizing from the water.
Go explore the crater areas of the park with more chances of birding, birds to view includes martial eagle, Pink backed Pelican, Yellow throated Cuckoo, Papyrus, Sedge warbles, Verreaux’s Eagle Owl among others and the view of the crater lakes is rewarding.
Boat Cruise
This is one of the most amazing activity to do at the lodge and in the park carried out on the Kazinga Channel where you can be able to enjoy great sights and sounds of aquatic species such as large number of hippos, Nile Crocodiles can be seen basking lazily on the banks of the channel as well as gainful view of water birds like the shoe bill, heron, kingfisher, cattle egrets among others.
Game drive
Queen Elizabeth National Park is a home of about 95 mammals which can be adventured along the game drive experience which can be done in open savanna grassland on 4 wheels with open roof for clear viewing of the unique tree climbing lions which inhabits the Ishasha sectors and other animals to see includes ; herds of elephants , buffalos kobs ,waterbucks , hartebeests ,warthogs if your luck on morning game drive you can adventure spotted hyenas ,leopards ,lions before returning back to their hideouts.
