This 5 Days Rwanda & Uganda Safari is a unique combined safari tour package with a visit to mountain gorillas and Golden monkeys. Visiting Volcanoes National Park in Uganda for golden monkey tracking and gorilla trekking in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Game drive adventure takes you in Akagera National Park -home to Big five mammals among others. The combined exploration of adventure with primates and wildlife is worthwhile. This trip starts and ends in Kigali Rwanda.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Akagera national park and Ihema Boat Cruise.
Start your safari by pick up from your hotel in Kigali or at Airport by our expect driver -guide. Then, depart to Akagera National Park with short briefing about the safari. Arriving at the park with enroute morning game drive with a chance to spot various game animals especially the herbivores species.
Later, embark on the afternoon boat cruise on the Lake Ihema where you will be able to see animals like hippo’s, crocodiles and many water birds like shoe bill, African King fishers among others. Dinner and overnight stay at Karenge Bush Camp(budget), Akagera Game Lodge –(Mid-range)

Day 2: Early morning game drive and transfer to volcanoes NP.
Enjoy breakfast at the lodge, before heading on the morning game drive with high anticipation of exploring different animals such as the herbivores, the big five animals in Rwanda which rise early to graze and predators on hunt.
Afterward, you will transfer to Volcanoes National Park via Kigali. Enjoy picnic lunch in Kigali city’s one of the best restaurants. After, continue to Ruhengeri town for the night. Dinner and an overnight stay at Davinci Hotel -Budget.
DAY 3: Golden Monkey Tracking in Volcanoes NP
Enjoy a delicious breakfast at the hotel, before embarking on Golden Monkey tracking experience. The trekking can take 2 to 3 hours depending on their location. Once the troop is found, you will be allowed an hour to observe them feeding, swing on the tree branches as well as taking photo shoot. Later, hike back to meet your driver to connect you to your lodge. Dinner and an overnight stay.
Day4: Transfer to Mgahinga Park Uganda
You will transfer to Mgahinga National Park from Kigali, after your morning breakfast. Proceed to drive through Cyanika border in Kisoro, with great views of rolling hills, terraced farmlands and beautiful countryside. Arrive at the park, check into the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at Lake Chahafi Safari Lodge – Midrange.
Day 5: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi /Departure
After an early breakfast, carry your packed lunch from the lodge before driving to the park headquarter for gorilla trekking briefing. After briefing, you will hike onto the forest to lookout for these gentle giants. The trekking experience can take about 2 to 6 hours, depending on their location. Once the gorilla family is allocated, spend one hour watching their habits behaviors, breastfeed, take photos and record moments.
After an hour encounter, you will trek back to the headquarter where you will be rewarded a certificate for participating in gorilla trekking. Then, meet you driver guide to set off of the journey back to Kigali Airport where you will be dropped for your flight departure. End of the tour.
