Detailed Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Murchison

Pick Up & Transfer to Murchison: You will be picked up by your guide who will welcome you and brief you about the details of your 7 Days Uganda Primates & Wildlife tour to Murchison falls national park, Queen Elizabeth national park, and Bwindi national park.
Rhino Trekking: After the briefing, you will proceed to drive to Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for a rhino trekking experience where you will see the endangered white rhino species.
Transfer to Murchison Falls: After the rhino experience, you will drive to Murchison falls national park where you will check-in at your lodge for dinner and overnight at Pakuba lodge.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Evening Boat Cruise

Game Drive: On the second day of your trip, you will have an early breakfast at your lodge as you prepare for your morning game drive. After breakfast, you will be driven around Murchison falls national park where you will enjoy the wildlife viewing experience from the comfort of your car as you see different wildlife species such as lions, elephants, hippos, buffalo, hartebeest, waterbucks, warthogs, oribis, and many others. After the morning game drive, you will return to your lodge for lunch and relax.
Boat Cruise: Later in the evening, you will proceed for an evening boat cruise along the Victoria Nile as you enjoy the beautiful sunset and watch the birds along the shores and flying around while the wildlife species graze near the river bank. you will proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Pakuba safari lodge.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale national park

Transfer to Kibale: You will have an early breakfast at your lodge and check out of the lodge. After checking out, you will proceed to drive out of Murchison falls national park and head to Kibale national park. You will have a stop in Fort portal for lunch and visit the crater lakes before proceeding to your lodge for an overnight and dinner at Kyaninga lodge.

Day 4: Chimps and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park

Chimpanzee Trekking: You will wake up for an early breakfast as you prepare for chimpanzee trekking in Kibale national park. On arrival at the park headquarters, you will be briefed about chimpanzee trekking before you head out into the forest in search of the chimpanzees. You will also see other primate species such as black and white colobus monkeys, red tailed monkeys and many others as well as a variety of bird and butterfly species.
Transfer to Queen: After chimpanzee tracking, you will drive to Queen Elizabeth national park via the ishasha sector and proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Park view lodge.

Day 5: Game Drive and Transfer to Bwindi

Game Drive: You will have an early breakfast at your lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park as you prepare for a morning game drive. During the game drive you will have an experience watching the tree climbing lions in the Ishasha sector as they hunt and relax up in the tree branches. You will also see other wildlife species in the savanna plains of this national park.
Transfer to Bwindi: After the game drive, you will transfer to Bwindi Forest national park where you will check-in at your lodge for dinner and overnight at Ichumbi gorilla lodge.

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking

Gorilla Trekking Experience: You will wake up for an early breakfast at your lodge in Bwindi Impenetrable National park and move with your packed lunches to the park headquarters where you will be briefed about gorilla trekking activity. The briefing will be about the rules and regulations of gorilla trekking. You will also be divided in groups of 8 people to trek one gorilla group and spend 1 hour with the gorillas. During the gorilla trekking experience, you will follow different trails in the impenetrable forest as you search for the gorillas in their natural habitat. You will also see a variety of butterflies, bird species as well as different tree species during your gorilla trek. After the gorilla trekking experience, you will trek back to the briefing point at the park headquarters where you will be met by your guide who will drive you back to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Buhoma haven lodge.

Day 7: Departure

Departure: You will wake up for an early breakfast at your lodge on the last day of your trip. After breakfast, you will check out of your lodge. You will proceed to drive back to Kampala with a stopover at Igongo cultural center where you will learn different aspects about the Ankole culture such as local ghee making, long-horned cattle, Ankole history and so much more. You will also have lunch at Igongo cultural center. After lunch, you will continue your drive back to Kampala where your guide will drop you off at your preferred location which will mark the end of your trip.
