Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Entebbe Airport –Birding at Botanical
Upon your arrival at Entebbe Airport, you will meet up with our driver guide who will drive you to botanical gardens- located few driving kilometres away from the Airport. Bird species to encounter include; hammertoes, African open billed stork, weaver ,black headed gull ,swampy, Gonolek swamp fly catcher ,black headed gull ,common swamp flycatcher many more.

Day 2: Transfer to Heritage Trail for Birding
Wake up have breakfast and be driven to Heritage trail which is 10 minutes’ drive. expect to see species such as Brown Crowned Tchargra, Short Toed snake Eagle, Violet backed starlings, Black Cuckoo shrike, Yellow bill, Brown Twin spot, Black Cuckoo Shrike, Southern Banded snake Eagle, Great Sparrow hawk, Mssustached Warbler many more. After birding drive to Lutemba for Lunch. Then after board a boat in search of numerous Grey Headed Gulls, the papyrus canary, white winged black tern, Papyrus Gonolek among others. Dinner and Overnight stay.

Day 3: Depart to Mabamba Swamps –Birding

Wake up have early morning breakfast and drive to Mabira Forest for birding ‘’one hour’’ drive to access Kampala .Here ,expect to view variety of bird species like Leaf love ,Toro Greenbul ,Yellow whiskered Greenbul ,Grey spotted woodpecker ,white spotted Fluff tail, Forest Robin ,Yellow Rumped Tinker bird ,Yellow throated tinker bird ,Blue breasted Kingfishers ,Shining blue ,Woodland kingfishers ,Chin spot Batis ,Chestnut wattle Eye, Yellow mantled ,Black Billed ,Weyn’s weavers ,Violets backed starling ,Red headed Malimbe ,Purple headed starling ,Red tailed Ant Thrust many more. Have picnic Lunch. Drive back to Kampala for dinner and Overnight stay.

Day 5: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
After morning breakfast, drive to Lake Mburo National national park a 4 hour drive from Kampala with a stopover at the equator in Kayabwe for water experiment .Then continue to drive to Lake Mburo for birdwatching where you will be able to encounter variety of species such as Green Wood Hoopoe ,Crested Francolin ,Emerald spotted wood dove ,Bare faced Go- Away bird ,Lilac breasted Roller ,spot-Flanked Barbet Northern Black Tit ,Trilling cisticola,Common Scimitar bill ,Greater Blue Eared starling ,African Grey Hornbill ,Brown parrot among others .Have lunch at the park .
After go for afternoon game viewing along the Zebra Track where you will be exposed to wildlife mammals like Black bellied bustard, Coqui Francolin, Tamaracks Courser, African wattle plover, Chested swallow, Rufous napped rufous, Flappet Lark, if you’re lucky lookout for evasive leopards and other nocturnal species many more. Day 6: Nature walk –Lake Mburo NP
After morning breakfast, go for nature walk around wetland and savannah birding species, be able to encounter lots of bird species like Red headed lovebird, Black Collared barbet, localized red faced barbet, Green capped Eremomela and Lead coloured Flycatcher. Back for lunch.
Later on, drive back to the park savannah, acacia woodland for evening game drive to explore more species, you would have missed on morning tracking. Driver back for dinner and overnight stay

Day 7: Game viewing -Birding along the Lakeside Track /Return to Kampala
Wake up have morning breakfast, drive to the park for morning game viewing along the Lakeside track and expect to spot aquatic species such as Papyrus Gonolek, White Winged warbler, Lesser and Greater Swamp Warbler, Blue headed coucal, you will still lookout for the African Darter, African water rail, African fin foot, Spur winged plovers among others. After drive out of the park and head back to Kampala with lunch en- route and then proceed to Kampala or Entebbe Airport for your departure flight. Remember to carry a pair of binoculars and other birding equipment’s.
